The Weathered Collection: The Guadalupe Gong (31 Inch Diameter Bronze Gong)
The Guadalupe Gong — 31" Weathered Collection Bronze Gong
There is one Guadalupe Gong remaining.
They had arrived in our Hunt, TX based warehouse -- a chau style bronze gong, made in the Himalayan Region (india) and ready to be made available when we returned from a 4th of July trip.
These gongs never launched -- until now. We found 3, and they are in the D2 condition (40% off) -- a little scratched, but incredible as musical instruments.
These 31-inch bronze gongs were handcrafted in India in the Himalayan style and were originally destined for a special edition drop that never launched. Until now.
Each one bears a striking and elaborate etched design, and is a responsive and dynamic experience. It will open up even more as you "break it in" at your home or studio.
The Sound:
The Guadalupe Gong opens with a focused fundamental note between 50-90 Hz, when invited just off center.
Layered into this fundamental are shimmering overtone peaks that bloom above it. Your playing style will open it further, and please listen to the recordings and videos here to see a sense of what your gong will sound like.
